Tea Party Nation Member To Be Featured On MSNBC's Tea Party Movement Special

MSNBC will be featuring TPN member and featured speaker at the Tea Party Nation Unity Convention, Ana Puig, as part of a special on the Tea Party Movement. They have been filming Ana for several months. The show will air tomorrow night on MSNBC at 7:00 pm Eastern.

Though it's certain to be a hit piece on the Tea Party Movement, MSNBC will most certainly have a difficult time trying to paint Ana as a far right wing extremist racist. She is a naturalized citizen born in Brazil who felt compelled to get involved politically when she saw the now infamous clip of then candidate Obama tell Joe the plumber " I just want to spread the wealth around." This conjured up bad memories of her native country. Together with other neighborhood women she co founded The Kitchen Table Patriots...a grassroots Tea Party Group in Pennsylvania.

Hopefully viewers will be able to ascertain that this wife and mother is no radical but rather a concerned citizen who should be respected for her guts and drive to stand up for what she believes in.  But I won't hold my breath. These are MSNBC viewers after all.

FLAUNT THE AMERICAN FLAG DAY--Nationwide Protest Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Posted by Cecilia Trent. Original Call To Action Posted On Free Republic By Kristin. Help Spread The Word.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2510090/posts

Patriotic Americans all across the nation are being called on to 'flaunt the American flag' on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 by wearing patriotic-themed clothing such as American flag style shirts, blouses, ties or jackets; American flag lapel pins or brooches; and by displaying the American flag at home, on your car or at your desk at work. You can even carry an American flag with you as you make your rounds on Wednesday and really flaunt that flag!

This is being done as a show of support for the American families in Morgan Hill, California whose students attending Live Oak High School were ordered to remove their American flag style shirts so as to not offend Mexican students on Cinco de Mayo last week.

Offended Mexican students walked out of class the next day and staged a protest march demanding "respect" for "our holiday" by demanding Americans not display the American flag on American soil.
One protester, Luis Jimenez, was videotaped by KNTV-TV saying, "Yesterday, it was our holiday, Cinco de Mayo. All of, like, the Americans thought they could wear their flags and just flaunt them in front of us."

Another Mexican protester was videotaped by KRON-TV ripping an American flag out of the hands of an American that same day.

In response, please send this message: We Americans will flaunt our flag on our soil anytime we please. If some folks don't like that, we have an old saying for them, "America, love it or leave it!"
Please e-mail and post this call to action on blogs, Facebook, Twitter and send it to you local and national Tea Party groups and talk radio hosts.

(Note to all the race-baiting liberals and weak-kneed David Brooks types, this is not about race, or even about Mexico. This is about Americans standing up for America on American soil. If you can't handle displays of patriotism, the same message above applies to you too.)

If anyone asks who started this and why May 12, just say it was started by a TEA-ed off American and May 12 just seems like a good day to wear the red, white and blue.

My Response To A Family Member Shocked That I, A Hispanic American, Support The Tea Party

By Cecilia Trent

Why Does It Always Come Back To Race?

A family member recently left a comment on my Facebook page shocked to find out that I am a staunch conservative and a Tea Party supporter. The hostility was undeniable. His comment demanded to know if I was equally vocal when Bush as he claimed "ran our country into the ground." He went on to add the usual liberal talking points claiming that Bush left a huge deficit and where was my outrage then. I calmly had to set him straight on the deficit and how Obama has spent half in one year what Bush did his entire eight years in office.

His response quickly got down to the heart of the matter.  He stated that Americans just won't accept change. Adding...."What I mean by change is a black man as president." He went on to say that we should be celebrating the fact that a black man was elected president in such a "racist" country instead of protesting.

I was dumbfounded but not surprised. Why does it always come down to race? My intent in writing about this is not to ridicule him but rather to inform those of the same mindset being fueled by the liberal main stream media, why the racism argument is unsound. Out of respect for him I will not share his actual letter but I feel compelled to share my response.

Hi Cousin,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and your concerns. Racism and White Supremacist groups have been around for years and unfortunately ignorance and hate fuel these groups. However, to associate The Tea Party Movement with these groups is completely unwarranted, dishonest and there is a calculate agenda behind injecting the "race card" to try to marginalize, demean and vilify the movement. Furthermore, the Tea Party Movement has not been hijacked by right wing racists. Additionally the fact that a Black man was elected president proves that America is not a racist country.

You mention that in your local protest you observed signs depicting Obama as a monkey, Nazi signs and people chanting racist remarks. I can assure you that this is not representative of tea party members. I am sure that you are aware that there have been left wing sites popping up encouraging people to infiltrate tea parties with misspelled, racist and other equally vile signs to support their ridiculous stereotypes and bias of the tea parties. They came and they failed as tea party members smoked them out and tagged them immediately with signs such as " I'm not with stupid."

I have been to tea parties across the nation, California, Nevada, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida. I was at the DC 912 March where over 1 million people gathered and have been to subsequent protests in DC in October and December and not once did I observe what you have cited and what the left leaning media tries to depict. These people are everyday folk who are genuinely concerned about the direction this country is going in. They are mothers and fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, young and old, independents, moderates, conservatives, Democrats with buyers remorse, Republicans, Atheists and Christians, (yes, you can be an Atheist and a conservative), Blacks, Whites, Asians, Hispanics. This is not a color issue. I was blessed to have attended my local Tax Day Tea Party with a black conservative woman whose sign summed it up beautifully "THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN BUT THE CONTENT OF YOUR POLICIES."

People are not angry because Obama is a Black man. They would be equally outraged if a White mas was trying to fundamentally change our country from the principles in which it was founded on. Are people racist when we appose Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid? Absolutely not! It is their radical agenda that we oppose. There is a war going on not based on race but on radical liberal progressive ideology versus the principles that this country was founded on based on The Constitution. The left leaning media interjects race into the argument as a red herring. It is quite clear from their extreme biased journalism where they stand on the issues.

It was the Liberal Main Stream Media who viciously attacked Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice. before each was  appointed as Secretary Of State, He served as the first Black Chairman Of The Joint Chiefs Of Staff , she as the first, not only female, but first black National Security Advisor. No one accused opponents of Powell and Rice of being racist then. They went after these public servants with a vengeance because of their political ideologies pure and simple.

Also Republicans were much vilified for opposing Obama's nomination of Sonia Sotomayor. Again the left quickly pulled the race card. It's a pattern. When they are losing the argument....pull the race card. Of course it could have had nothing to do with her history of legislating from the bench. Yet the media has a short memory. Have we forgotten when Bush nominated Honduran born Miguel Estrada for the Supreme Court? The left went after him with a vengeance. Where they screaming racism then? Of course not. So what is the moral of this story? It's acceptable to oppose conservative minorities but God forbid you appose a liberal minority because you will quickly be attacked, maligned and labeled a racist. The bias and hypocrisy is disgusting.

Where was the outrage when left wing nuts were protesting Bush calling him Hitler, a monkey, a murderer and carrying signs calling for his death? This is not a race issue. The real war is against political ideologies. Here are links to pics of the hate that was unleashed on Bush and the Main Stream Media ignored. I can't imagine the outrage that would unleash if such hate was found in a tea party protest.

http://www.binscorner.com/pages/d/death-threats-against-bush-at-protests-i.html

http://michellemalkin.com/2006/08/31/assassination-chic/

This Administration is the main instigator in perpetuating the racism fallacy. They were effective in using it to demonize the Clintons during the primaries and I think that we can both agree that the Clintons are not racists. Yet Obama and his ilk continue pulling the race card on anyone who is a threat to their agenda. It is shameful how Liberal pundits continue attacking Black  and other minority conservatives who dare to challenge their policies. These people are called sell outs, sambos, house "Negroes", Uncle Toms, etc. Donny Deutsch of MSNBC was recently suspended for daring to critique Keith Olbermann's hateful rhetoric against conservative hosts, but did nothing when Deutsch referred to Marc Rubio, a Cuban American Conservative running for Senator in Florida, as  a "coconut." You know...brown on the outside white on the inside. This racist term was ignored. Again I cannot imagine the outrage if a conservative anchor had made such a comment.

This is just a sample of the hypocrisy that conservatives endure and quite frankly it's getting old. My best friends are Black and staunch conservatives who oppose Obama on his policies. It would be hard to apply the racist label on them.  Is racism still alive and well? Absolutely. There will always be hateful, ignorant people that don't even subscribe to any political ideologies but simply hate because of the color of a person's skin. You and I as Hispanics have dealt with it all our lives, but I can assure you that I have not witnessed it or experienced it in The Tea Party Movement. I would not associate or support a cause that spews racism. As far as these hateful white supremacist blogs who call themselves Christians, yes they are out there but they are in no way connected to the Tea Party Movement. There are nut balls in every facet of society and my heart is grieved that they would call themselves Christians because I can assure you that a true follower of Jesus Christ would not advocate hate. These people have and will always be around spewing their ignorance.

Just in case you may be thinking that I am merely regurgitating conservative talking points I assure you that  I am speaking from experience. My local eyewitness news ran a hit piece demonizing the Tax Day Tea Parties in Orange County as a bunch of racists. They claimed that one of the black speakers was the only person of color in attendance at the Santa Ana rally. My husband led the attendees in reciting the Pledge Of Allegiance. They completely ignored the fact that, I, his Hispanic wife stood proudly next to him waving the American Flag or the other Blacks and Hispanics in attendance. I was even interviewed by a local Spanish TV station on the reasons that I support the Tea Party Movement. All this was lost by ABC because the truth would not have supported their grotesque biased hit piece.

In response to your comment about why as you stated " there was no protests when Bush ran the country into the ground in 8 years." That my cousin is a matter of opinion. I have already explained to you in my comment on Facebook why your statement is not sound as Obama has already spent half in his first year what Bush spent in his entire 8 years in office. However, I will agree with you that he started spending like a liberal his last years in office and his support of TARP paved the way for massive government take over of our financial system. And yes, the apathy from conservatives across the nation allowed this to take root. But no more. The American people have awakened and we will hold our leaders accountable. As conservatives we are demanding that the Republican party go back to it's conservative roots that Ronald Reagan believed in. We will settle for nothing less. The spending, deficits, bailouts, government takeover of institutions, and weakening of our national defense needs to stop. That's what the Tea Party Movement is all about. We will no longer vote for someone simple because they have an R after their name. This is about conservative values and ideals and will support candidates who stay true to their conservative roots and will support and defend our Constitution.

I hope that you have a better understanding of where I stand and why I support Tea Party Movement. My hope is that both sides will take the time to get educated on the issues and do their homework on the leaders that are running our country. Knowledge is power and we are blessed to have the Internet at our fingertips so that we no longer have to be brainwashed by either the left or the right. We can arrive at our own conclusions by simply taking the time to educate ourselves with the truth.

Blessings to you and yours.

" I Can Rally 100,000 People In DC To Protect Puppies Over 1000 At Tea Party In DC." Dem PA Governor Ed Rendell Dismisses Tea Party As Not Legitimate

April 26th, 2010 | Author: Ellie Velinska

Tea Party Draws 1000 Max To DC? Really Ed?

"If I can call a rally for stronger laws for puppies I will draw 100 000 people to Washington just like that”

Snap! That was the Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell this morning on FOX accusing the tea party of being not able to draw a crowd bigger than a thousand people in Washington DC.

Besides the fact that his numbers on tea party attendance are wrong it is amazing to witness Rendell who is usually appealing to the folks of all political backgrounds turn into fierce campaign against a grassroots movement to which about 60% of the Americans sympathize.

Seems like Ed Rendell is looking at the devastating polls for his party in the 2010 Governor election in Pennsylvania. State Attorney General Tom Corbett (Republican) earns nearly 50% support again this month in the Rasmussen poll against the Democrat Jack Wagner.

Governor Rendell is a professional campaigner and he knows the taste of winning. So what is his strategy in helping his people in the Keystone State? This time he knows that the only chance the democrats may get is by energizing their demoralized base.

Rendell can’t be that arrogant in dismissing the tea party as a broad movement. He is much smarter than that. Looks like Democrats in Pennsylvania gave up in seeking the independent vote and instead decided to head-butt the wall rallying the far-left base by throwing a juicy raw red meat steak.

Attacking the Tea party? No he didn’t! Yes – he did! It is just an act of desperation on the part of the Democrats who will be turning over Pennsylvania to the Republicans in November.

Pennsylvania is fighting the unemployment by paying the folks to sweep the streets for $12 per hour – not likely to be a winning move for those craving jobs. So Governor Rendell (who usually makes much more sense) is bashing the tea party on national TV in hope that the attacked will be too busy in Florida to return the fire. Not likely! The tea party has too many heads and legs all over the country and will probably respond to Rendell accordingly. The good old Governor Rendell kicked the wrong puppy!

Harry Reid Humiliated in "Hometown" Only 100 Supporters Turn Out For His Re-Election Kick Off Tour

By Cecilia Trent

From Sal Russo Tea Party Express:

Harry Reid sure was condescending when we organized the massive "Showdown in Searchlight" mega tea party rally which drew more than 10,000 people to the tiny Nevada desert town that once was Harry Reid's hometown. And now Harry Reid has been completely humiliated when only 100 people turned out for his own campaign rally in Searchlight, NV that kicked off a statewide campaign swing for his re-election campaign.  We're not making this up, you can see the Las Vegas Review Journal article for yourself - HERE.

We did it folks - we stood up to the corrupt Senate Majority Leader and we showed the power of "We the People."

Now we're on to do it again by taking on Democrat Bart Stupak who sold out his constituents and betrayed the constitution by providing the bloc of votes to pass the Obama-Pelosi-Reid healthcare monstrosity.

We're working hard to turn out huge crowds in 5 rallies in Stupak's district.  Then we'll do it again with a mega rally in Boston, MA with Gov. Sarah Palin - and then finally the grand finale event in Washington D.C. with an April 15th Tax Day Tea Party.

In Their Own Words: Radical Left Wing Hate Group Encouraging Members To Crash Tea Parties On April 15th

By Cecilia Trent

Citizens In Action sent out an email warning their members to beware of the orchestrated efforts being launched by left wing groups to disrupt peaceful Tea Party Protests. The call to crash Tea Parties was made by The Institute for Anarchist Studies Website, a Socialist group that lumps Americans waving American Flags with racists and anti-Semites.  Their words speak for themselves.

WARNING: Be on the lookout–Bring your cameras!!!

In their own words:
Crash the tea parties!

On April 15th thousands of right-wingers will attend rallies in cities and towns across the United States. The organizers of this nationwide day of protest call it a tea party. This tea party movement that emerged only a year ago is a coalition of conservatives, anti-Semites, fascists, libertarians, racists, constitutionalists, militia men, gun freaks, homophobes, Ron Paul supporters, Alex Jones conspiracy types and American flag wavers. If the tea party movement continues to grow in size and strength there is a big chance they will dominate this country in the near future. If the tea party movement takes over this country they will really hurt poor people by getting rid of social programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, student aid, free health care, etc. The tea party movement will say these programs must be gotten rid of because hard-working taxpayers cannot afford to pay for these things especially when the economy is in a depression. There are three options we have with the tea party movement:

1. Organize counter-protests against the tea party demonstrations, same time, same place. This is probably the best option. We need to get in the streets on April 15th and show the tea party movement that there are lots of people out there who oppose their agenda.

2. Get individual tea party protesters to leave the right-wing and move to the left politically. That would involve passing out stuff like this at the tea party demonstrations: http://www.anarchist-studies.org/node/299

3. Ignore the tea party movement. This is the worst option because without anyone opposing them they could easily gain power.

No Harry Reid... This Is A Big Bleeping Deal! Estimated 20,000 At Showdown In Nevada: Tea Party Express III

By Cecilia Trent

An estimated 20,000 freedom loving patriots lined Nevada's Highway 95 causing traffic jams on the way to attend The Tea Party Express III: Showdown in Searchlight. By 10am parking for the event was full. Thousands were forced to park on the shoulder of Highway 95 up to three miles from the event.

I have attended several Tea Party Express events across the country and I have never seen anything like this. Patriots from all over the United States attended the event to hear keynote speaker Sarah Palin kick off the event and the crowd was not disappointed.

“When we talk about fighting for our country, let’s clear the air right now about what we’re talking about, Sarah shouted to the crowd and looked straight at the media cameras adding "Try to get this right." The crowd went wild. She went on to say “violence isn’t the answer.” She said “our vote is our arms” and encouraged activists not to be discouraged by the passage of the Democratic healthcare overhaul bill last week, but rather to channel their energies into defeating congressional Democrats who supported the legislation.

Could Dems Be Misleading The Public About Disagreement In Their Ranks On Healthcare Bill?

According to a Tea Party Group leader who spoke with Senator Jim Demint yesterday,  The Senator's office is suspicious of the statements being put out by the Reid/Pelosi closed door negotiations on health care.

Publicly they are putting the word out that there is great disagreement in their ranks and it may not be until February when a bill is ready.  It could well be misdirection to keep the public from going crazy and taking action believing that there is plenty of time to stop this bill.  We need to get the call out to everyone we know to not get complacent. We need to flood DC with calls and faxes to STOP the secret meetings and hold them only in front of C-SPAN camera and demand they STOP this bill, START OVER with real reform.

They know we are concentrating on getting Scott Brown elected in the special Massachusetts election. While we are distracted they may very well be closer than they are leading us to believe on a compromise.

This bill will give the government unprecedented control over our health care system and destroy the greatest health care system in the world as we know it.

Barack Obama is meeting behind closed doors with Pelosi and Reid this morning. We must keep fighting. Don't let them mislead you. Pass the word. We need to get busy.

Scott Brown Responds To Coakley Attack Ad

By Cecilia Trent

Scott Brown releases new television ad in response to Martha Coakley's decision to air negative and misleading attack ads against him.

In the ad, Brown says the ads are wrong and attempt to tear him down instead of discussing critical issues such as health care and jobs.

Brown says the ad is a product of a political machine and its candidate and that he is running the name of every independent thinking voter

60 Minutes Story Bashes Sarah Palin: Completely Ignore's Reids's Racist Remarks

If you were able to stomach it, watching the 60 minutes segment was like watching a commercial for the DNC.

Newsbusters.org: While a story on Sunday’s 60 Minutes about the new book, ‘Game Change,’ about the 2008 campaign, focused heavily on attacks against Sarah Palin by McCain staffers, it ignored numerous revelations of controversial statements by prominent Democrats, including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid describing Barack Obama as “light skinned” and lacking a “negro dialect.”

Acting as a guest correspondent, CNN’s Anderson Cooper cited the book’s liberal authors, New York magazine’s John Heilemann and Time’s Mark Halperin, who claimed that Palin was picked by the McCain campaign out of “desperation” after manager Rick Davis found her name on Google. At one point, Halperin went so far as to declare that: “They said, ‘there’s one Sarah who you see in public’– upbeat. But the other Sarah was the one that frightened them. It was someone whose eyes were kind of glazed over, who was literally not responding to questions, who was keeping her head down.”

Cooper made sure to highlight CBS’s role in Palin’s supposed downfall with the Evening News Katie Couric interview: “In her book, Palin accuses CBS News of editing the interview to make her look bad. But [McCain campaign advisor] Steve Schmidt told us Palin did poorly because she didn’t do her homework.” Schmidt slammed Palin, claiming she was “focused that morning on answering ten written questions from a small newspaper in Alaska called the ‘Matsu Valley Frontiersman.’” After Cooper mentioned Palin’s criticism of Couric’s “gotcha questions,” Schmidt proclaimed: “I don’t think that Katie Couric asked a single unfair question in that interview.”

The story briefly turned to the book’s detailing of problems on the Democratic side, mentioning Hillary Clinton’s surprise at being overtaken by Obama in the primaries as well as her concern that husband Bill Clinton would be an embarrassment if she were to be named secretary of state in the Obama administration. However, a controversial comment made by the former president that Obama would have “been getting them coffee” a few years before he decided to run in 2008 was not mentioned.

Also missing was Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s controversial comment suggesting Obama would do well in the campaign because he was “light skinned” and did not have a “negro dialect.” In addition, there was no mention of the book’s discussion of the strained marriage of John and Elizabeth Edwards amid the Senator’s affair.

Near the end of the segment, Cooper concluded: “Schmidt now believes, if Palin is the Republican presidential candidate in 2012, it’ll be catastrophic for the party, even though he’s one of those most responsible for making her a national figure.” No such dire conclusion was made about any Democratic political figures.
"This was the worst piece of “journalism” I have ever witnessed on 60 Minutes."

He went on to break down the time devoted to bashing Sarah Palin on the hit piece.

The segment on the book was just under thirteen minutes long. About eleven of those were spent discussing the losing side’s Vice Presidential candidate. About seven minutes were used interviewing the strategist for the losing the campaign and allowing him to take unsubstantiated pot shots at the aforementioned VP candidate. Less than two minutes was used on the current Secretary of State’s bid to be the actual President. Virtually zero seconds were given to the campaign of the current President. Literally zero seconds were devoted to brand new and startling revelations in “Game Change” regarding scandals involving John and Elizabeth Edwards and Harry Reid.

Sarah Palin Hating Liberal Trolls Invade & Attack Tea Party Nation Website

Sarah Palin will be the keynote speaker at the first National Tea Party Convention on February 4th in Nashville, TN.  As the day draws near the liberal trolls are out in force. Site administrators sent out the following email to their members this morning:

A MESSAGE TO MEMBERS OF TEA PARTY NATION

Friends, over the last 36 hours, our site has been attacked by liberals.  They have joined en masse, coming on the site to offend, disrupt and interfere as much as they can.  They have uploaded inappropriate content, sent us obscene messages and even uploaded pornographic images.

We are taking steps to correct these problems.

We want to take this opportunity to thank those who have become members of Tea Party Nation in the last few days.  Before our site was assaulted, our growth had been phenomenal.   Our precautions are going to slow our growth, but ultimately will keep TPN the site that you want it to be.

The liberal website Newsvine had a short article this morning basically blasting the site for banning liberals. They claim that Rachel Maddow was banned from the site merely because she is a liberal. It is mind boggling how they can turn this attack into conservatives discriminating against liberals. The article completely ignored the the obscene messages and pornographic images that the trolls were posting on the site. Leave it to the warped liberal mind to resort to their usual tactics when faced with the truth.....create a distraction, ignore the facts, name calling.

This is not the first time that these subhuman liberal trolls have gone after Sarah Palin support sites. In October 2008, a group of sock puppets from such liberal sites as  Democratic Underground and Something Awful invaded the Team Sarah support site and began posting racists remarks about Barack Obama. They took screen shots and sent them to the Huffington Post and the ultra liberal hate site ran with it publishing articles about the purported "racists" at Team Sarah. However, their plot was exposed by administrators and several conservative bloggers including Michelle Malkin wrote about it and the Huffington Post ended up with egg on their face.

The worst attack on the site came on January 8, 2009. The liberal hate exploded when the trolls hijacked the site and bombarded it with graphic pictures of naked mutilated bodies of adults and children,  obscene heterosexual and gay sex and other vile images all the while posting profanity and hateful attacks of Sarah Palin and her down syndrome son, Trig.

This is the type of irrational hatred that Sarah Palin brings out of those on the left who want to demonize and attack this woman whose only crime is that she is a conservative woman who stands for God, Life, Family and Country.

So in response to Newsvine and those liberal haters who are whining about being banned from Tea Party Nation, spare us your outrage! The administrators have the right and a responsibility to uphold the integrity of the site by protecting its members from hate mongers who wish to join their site for the sole person of disrupting the site by spewing their hate and sowing discord.

You know that you are making a difference for our conservative cause when you have the crazies on the left orchestrating troll invasions on your site. They are running scared and lashing out at anyone that they deem as a threat to their crumbling agenda. Keep up the great work Tea Party Nation.
